For Immediate Release
New York, NY – September 12, 2024 – Universal Write Publications (UWP) is pleased to announce a new collaboration with EBSCO Information Services. This partnership is a key step in UWP’s mission to broaden access to the voices of Black scholars, particularly in the social sciences. By teaming up with EBSCO, UWP is making its titles more widely available to academic institutions around the world, enriching the resources available to students and researchers.
"This partnership with EBSCO is an important development for us," said Dr. Ayo Sekai, CEO of Universal Write Publications. "We’re committed to making sure that the groundbreaking work of Black academics is not just seen but integrated into the fabric of academic study. With EBSCO’s extensive reach, we can ensure that these critical perspectives are more readily available to educators and students everywhere." |
EBSCO provides a depth and breadth of online resources that represent well-rounded content from multiple perspectives and experiences. UWP’s collection will now be accessible on the EBSCO eBooks platform and available for purchase via EBSCOhost Collection Manager (ECM) and GOBI, making it easier for libraries to include these important works in their offerings.
“Collaborating with Universal Write Publications allows us to further our commitment to delivering a comprehensive selection of diverse academic resources,” said Jon Elwell, Senior Vice President, Books at EBSCO Information Services. “UWP’s dedication to elevating Black scholars aligns with our goal to provide a wide range of perspectives in academic research.
